A vacuum toilet can easily maintain a clean toilet system, while it takes many hours for trains to complete journey between different destinations. Use of small amount of water about 0.5 litre per cycle with in-built intermediate tank makes the vacuum toilet suitable for train application having limited tank capacity for waste and fresh water.
