Company bags order for N-ViroMotive (Environment Friendly Multi-Genset Locomotive)

Daulat Ram Engineering Services (P) Ltd is proud to announce its foray into locomotive manufacturing. At the launch of this project company has secure two orders for 2100 HP Multi-Genset Diesel Electric Locomotive Kits order from DMW Patiala and a 700 HP DE Locomotive from Chennai Metro Rail Corporation.

DRESPL has collaborated with an USA based locomotive manufacturing company NATIONAL RAILWAY EQUIPMENT CO. (NREC) to manufacture these Environment Friendly Multi-Genset Locomotives in India. These locomotives are of state of the art machines that are fuel efficient up to 40% and have reduced emission up to 70%.

Multi-Genset technology is based on necessity of power of demand. This functionality of locomotive enables it to be used in the range of 700HP to 2100HP for shunting to short hauling purpose.

The product has been widely accepted for the following reasons:

• World leadership position in the diesel-electric locomotive industry for nitrous oxides and particulate matter reductions (80%-90% decreased emissions for both NOx and PM).

• Highly favorable economic impact on fuel savings (typically 40%-70% comparative fuel cost reductions on a HP to HP consumption basis).

• Significantly improved tractive effort capability (70% minimum improvement in comparative TE adhesion efficiency) often resulting in change-outs of two conventional locomotives for one N-ViroMotive replacement unit.

• Noise abatement reduction (averages 75 to 79 dba in the cab at throttle notch 8) similar to highway truck sound levels.

• Reduced maintenance costs (normally 35%-50% less expensive to maintain than conventional switching and road-switching locomotive power).

We are enthralled to announce that Daulat Ram Engineering Services received an overwhelming response at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition this year from all over.

Company had over 5000 visitors over the period of 3 days, this made it company's best exhibition till date.

The company was one of the most prominent exhibitors at the show. This year Daulat Ram's stall display was dominant with Multi-Genset Locomotive for which company is setting up a manufacturing facility in India. Also traction equipments like the newly launched AC Traction Motor for WAG9 and WAP7 Electric Locomotives, Traction Alternator for WDG3A Diesel Electric Locomotives, DC Traction Motors for WDG3A Diesel Electric Locomotives, Radiator Cooling Fans, Dynamic Brake Hatch Blower & Motors, Air Conditioners for LHB Railway Coaches and Locomotive Driver Cabs were praised for their quality and presentation.

Company received potential inquiries for products and collaborations, which it looks forward to ripen.

Daulat Ram is a major participant in the 9th International Railway Equipment Exhibition 2011, taking place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Daulat Ram is present in Hall No. 10, Stand No. 10.24. The show is open to public from 28th September 2011 to 30th September 2011.
